Federal Fair Housing Act

Florida and Local Protections
The Florida Fair Housing Act mirrors these federal protections. Counties and municipalities in South Florida extend coverage to additional categories, which may include race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), familial status (having children under 18), pregnancy status and physical or mental disability
What This Means in Practice
- We show and market properties to all qualified buyers on equal terms.
- We do not steer clients toward or away from neighborhoods based on any protected characteristic.
- We do not accept instructions from any seller, developer or association to discriminate.
- Our advertising describes property, never a preferred type of buyer or resident.
- We keep client information confidential and evaluate every inquiry on its merits.
Reasonable Accommodations and Modifications
People with disabilities have the right to request reasonable accommodations in policies or reasonable modifications to a dwelling. Tell us what you need and we will work with the seller, developer or association to support your request as the law allows.
If You Believe You Have Been Treated Unfairly
Please contact us first so we can address it immediately. You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at 1-800-669-9777 (TTY 1-800-927-9275) or at hud.gov, or with the Florida Commission on Human Relations. Filing a complaint is free, and retaliation for filing is itself unlawful.
