Ytech
The Miami Developer Reshaping Brickell’s Luxury Skyline
Founded by Yamal Yidios, Ytech has quietly become one of South Florida’s most consequential private real estate firms — with a $3 billion pipeline concentrated in one of the country’s hottest urban corridors.
Who Is Ytech?
Ytech is a privately owned Miami real estate development firm established in 2006. Under the leadership of founder and CEO Yamal Yidios, the company has evolved from a regional developer into one of South Florida’s most ambitious luxury residential forces. Its focus is simple but exacting: create residences that don’t just meet the market — they define it.
Unlike publicly traded developers beholden to quarterly cycles, Ytech operates with the patience and precision of a privately held company. That independence has allowed it to pursue long-horizon projects, acquire prime parcels years before breaking ground, and obsess over design quality at every scale.
A Track Record Built Across the Southeast
Before planting its flag firmly in Brickell, Ytech built an extensive footprint across the southeastern United States. The firm has developed and owned property across 25 submarkets, amassing over 12 million square feet of construction — a portfolio spanning thousands of residences and commercial office transformations. This regional breadth gave Ytech both the capital base and operational expertise to pursue something far larger in Miami.
Key Acquisition
In January 2017, Ytech acquired what was then a 100,000-square-foot office building at 1428 Brickell Avenue. It sat on the site for years — strategically, not idly — before demolition began and construction of a 70-story luxury tower commenced in its place.
The Residences at 1428 Brickell: Ytech’s Defining Project
No project better captures Ytech’s ambitions than The Residences at 1428 Brickell. Rising 70 stories and 860 feet above Brickell Avenue, the tower houses 189 ultra-luxury residences designed by Arquitectonica, with interiors by Italian powerhouse ACPV Architects (Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel) and landscaping by Arquitectonica GEO.
The tower launched sales in January 2023 and crossed the 40% threshold within its first year — a strong signal in any market, let alone one as competitive as Miami’s Brickell corridor. Financing milestones followed quickly: an initial $104 million in construction financing was secured, followed by a landmark $565 million construction loan from JPMorgan Chase and Sculptor Real Estate, one of the largest condo construction loans in Miami history.
At the crown of the tower sits a two-story penthouse priced at $60 million — over 12,000 square feet of finished space beneath a 30-foot ceiling, with panoramic views of both the Miami skyline and the Atlantic Ocean.
Leadership: Yamal Yidios
Ytech’s identity is inseparable from its founder. Yamal Yidios holds a master’s in Engineering with a concentration in real estate development and construction management from the University of Florida, a bachelor’s in civil and structural engineering from the same institution, executive education in Architecture and Design Thinking from London’s Royal College of Art, and an executive master’s from Harvard Business School. He also holds a degree in financial mathematics from Stetson University, where he competed in NCAA tennis.
That cross-disciplinary background — spanning engineering, design, and finance — shapes how Ytech approaches every project: with technical rigor, aesthetic intention, and long-term capital strategy working in concert rather than at odds.
What Sets Ytech Apart in Miami’s Market
Miami’s luxury condo market is crowded with developers chasing the same buyer with similar offerings. Ytech’s differentiator is its willingness to commission world-class architectural and interior talent, acquire sites years before competitors recognize their potential, and structure deals with institutional-grade financing partners. The result is a product that genuinely competes on the global stage — not just within South Florida.
With more than $3 billion in active development within the Brickell neighborhood alone, Ytech is no longer simply a participant in Miami’s real estate story. It is one of its primary authors.
